CASE STUDY 1: REHABILITATION POST-SURGICAL INTERVENTIN FOR LABRAL DAMAGE
A professional male contemporary dancer had a superior labral tear that failed to resolve with conservative treatment and subsequently underwent surgical repair. Timelines for return to dance were determined using both biological timelines and conditioning timelines. Given a suspected sequalae of rotator cuff dysfunction leading to an initial presentation of subacromial impingement, there was increased emphasis to address this within the rehabilitation programme. This involved isolated rotator cuff strength work and scapula stability drills.
